To start, you wll need to define your core personal values. If you are using the app for the first time, and there are no personal values saved (or if you are using the free version that does not save the personal values), this will be the only link that is active on the welcome screen (active links are displayed in white colour).
If you have previously entered any personal values and ranked them, other links may be active. If you choose to amend previously entered and ranked personal values, you will get an alert - all ranking data will be reset. We will talk about it later.

Once you have tapped on the "Enter/edit your personal values" link, a screen will open allowing you to enter your personal values.
The process is quite intuitive - you tap on the "Tap to add a new entry" row or the "+" sign to add a personal value. This opens the next screen.

All you need to do is just type your personal value in the grey field - I have typed "My first value" here. When done, tap "Done", or tap anywhere outside of the keyboard or the grey field to accept and register the personal value.
Note: if you just tap the "Back" button in the navigation bar, the name of your value will not be registered (you will just get a "New Entry", that can be further edited). You probably will not want to use this function without a good reason.

The value will show on the list. Keep adding more personal values, until you have included everything that is important to you. You can edit the already entered values by tapping on them, this will open the same screen that was used to enter it. You can also delete the personal values that you do not want on your list - this is done using the "Edit" button in the navigation bar, this will edit the list of personal values in the same way as lists of anything else on your device are edited. Or you can edit the individual value as described above, and use the rubbish bin/trash can icon.
Now that you have entered your personal values, tap the "Done" button in the navigation bar. On the welcome screen, a new link has become active: "Rank your personal values". Tap on it.
This page is probably self-explaining - in the next screen you will start comparing your personal values one against the other, so the app can build a ranked list of your personal values.
It will present pairs of statements about your personal values, each statement assumes that you are completely happy with one of the personal values, and completely unfulfilled with respect to the other. There is nothing in between; it is "either/or", and you need to choose the statement that you are more comfortable with.
The app it will give the highest rank to this personal value that most often "wins" against the others.
Tap "Next" when you are ready.

This is what it will look like.
Now, for each pair of statements, tap on the one that feels more comfortable. The other one will be greyed out, and the "Next" button will be activated to move to the next pair of statements. You can tap ot - or you can change your choice before moving on.
There is no possibility to back to the previous pair of statements. There is an option to "Give up" and start over.
When you are done with the ranking, the screen will say "Ranking complete", and it will invite you to "See the ranking", or "Continue to the main menu" (you can see the ranking later).
Choose "Continue to the main menu", and you will see the list of your personal values ranked.

Congratulations! You have completed the ranking. The "winning" value is on the top, and the "Rank" is the number of times it has won against the other. This may be the personal value that is most important to you.
- In some rare cases, you may get a "draw" - an equal rank between two or more values. You may leave it as is (accepting that the values are of the same importance), or repeat the ranking.
- It is interesting to repeat the ranking process several times, to see how the importance you assign to each of the personal values may change with your mood, energy level, etc. Ideally, you would like something stable here.
